On the 15th, at Jeonbuk Iksan Golf Course (Par 72, 6,569 yards), during the second day of the newly established Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour tournament, Dongbu Construction·Korea Land Trust Championship (total prize money 1 billion KRW), she added 10 points and maintained the top spot on the leaderboard for two consecutive days with 27 points. Lee So-young (24, Lotte) is in 2nd place with 26 points, and Jo Ah-yeon (21, Dongbu Construction), Park Gyeol (Sam-il Pharmaceutical), Ahn Na-rin (Moonyoung Group), and Ha Min-song (Lotte; all 25 points) are tied for 3rd place, 2 points behind, engaging in a chase.
This is the first tournament on the KLPGA Tour using a modified Stableford scoring system. Points are awarded as follows: Albatross 8 points, Eagle 5 points, Birdie 2 points, Par 0 points, Bogey -1 point, Double Bogey or worse -3 points. The winner is determined by the total points accumulated across all holes. Hanjin Seon recorded six birdies and two bogeys. She lost a birdie on the 2nd hole (Par 5) due to a bogey on the 4th hole (Par 3), but made three consecutive birdies from the 6th to 8th holes. In the back nine, after a bogey on the 13th hole (Par 3), she regained the lead with 'stepping stone birdies' on the 16th and 18th holes.
She joined the regular tour in 2018 but has yet to win a tournament. Her best personal results are runner-up finishes at the Brunei Ladies Open and the McCol·Yongpyong Resort Open in her debut year. Park Min-ji (23, NH Investment & Securities), a six-time champion, swept up eight birdies (two bogeys) to accumulate 14 points. Along with Park Hyun-kyung (21, Korea Land Trust), who ranks 3rd in prize money, they are tied for 12th place with 20 points, seven points behind. Kim Su-ji (25, Dongbu Construction) and Choi Hye-jin (22, Lotte), the Hite Jinro champions, are watching for opportunities from a tie for 20th place with 18 points.
