Jeonbuk Provincial Assembly Member Doosehun, “Need to Establish Hydrogen Specialized Graduate and University Programs”
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Doosehun Du, a member of the Jeonbuk Provincial Council (Wanju 2·Agricultural Industry and Economy Committee), emphasized, “The establishment of specialized hydrogen graduate schools and university courses is absolutely necessary for the success of Jeollabuk-do's hydrogen industry.”
In a 5-minute speech at the 4th plenary session of the 385th extraordinary meeting, Representative Du stated, “The success or failure of the hydrogen industry depends on how many specialized personnel who will lead the future vision of the hydrogen industry are secured,” and pointed out, “Jeonbuk also needs to expand specialized dedicated personnel and introduce a specialized officer system for the hydrogen industry.”
He continued, “A Jeollabuk-do Hydrogen Industry Committee, which can also function as a hydrogen industry academia-industry-research-government council, should be established to promptly secure a pool of related expert personnel, and continuous preparation for training specialized personnel must be made until the hydrogen industry gets on track.”
In particular, Representative Du said, “The government has also announced plans to establish specialized hydrogen graduate schools and university courses,” and expressed, “Jeollabuk-do must actively take the initiative in establishing specialized hydrogen energy graduate schools and university courses to supply excellent personnel.”
Representative Du reiterated, “It is Jeollabuk-do’s responsibility to properly connect and turn into treasures the already secured top-level domestic hydrogen-related research institutions and university infrastructure,” and stressed again, “If we miss this opportunity, we may just let 10 years, or even 100 years, pass by. With this urgency, we must now do our best to train personnel who will lead the hydrogen industry.”
