[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju-gun announced on the 15th that the 1st section of Wanju Technovalley 2nd General Industrial Complex (1,868,000㎡) has been completed, making it possible for companies to move in in earnest.
The Wanju Technovalley 2nd General Industrial Complex development project, being promoted through a public-private joint development method with Wanju Technovalley Co., Ltd., was designated as an industrial complex on December 26, 2014. The project was implemented with a total site area of 2,113,000㎡ and a total project cost of 392.1 billion KRW.
The area completed this time includes 1,152,000㎡ of industrial land and 191,000㎡ of existing residential land.
Wanju-gun has completed the installation of infrastructure such as roads, water supply and sewage, and communication. With the partial completion of the 1st section, it is expected that full-scale company move-ins and sales contract signings will proceed.
Currently, sales contracts have been signed with a total of 13 companies, including Iljin Hi-Solus Co., Ltd. and EnerEver Battery Solus Co., Ltd.
It is expected that the industrial land sales rate will reach 70% once sales contracts are signed with companies that have announced investment agreements (MOUs) and investment intentions.
Wanju-gun expects that once the 2nd section of Wanju Technovalley 2nd General Industrial Complex is also completed, the creation of a corporate environment, expansion of residential, cultural, and consumption functions of the mini complex town and support facilities will greatly enhance the region's economic ripple effects and living conditions.
Park Seong-il, the governor of Wanju-gun, said, "With the partial completion of the 1st section of Wanju Technovalley 2nd General Industrial Complex, full-scale company move-ins are beginning, so we will join efforts to actively resolve inconveniences for companies and provide support."
Meanwhile, Wanju-gun has been promoting construction by dividing Technovalley 2nd Industrial Complex into the 1st and 2nd sections to resolve complaints against the installation of a waste landfill, protect the property rights of resident companies, and facilitate smooth corporate activities.
