Seol Kyung-gu and EXO's Do Kyung-soo Wrap Up Filming of 'The Moon'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The movie 'The Moon,' centered on lunar exploration, wrapped up filming on the 12th.
CJ ENM announced on the 14th, "The movie 'The Moon' (working title) began its first shoot on June 6 and successfully completed a total of four months of filming."
The film is the next project by director Kim Yong-hwa, who directed the 'Along with the Gods' series, starring actors Seol Kyung-gu, EXO's Do Kyung-soo (D.O.), Kim Hee-ae, as well as Park Byung-eun, Jo Han-chul, Choi Byung-mo, and Hong Seung-hee.
Seol Kyung-gu, who plays Jae-guk, the former space center director struggling to rescue Sun-woo, left alone in space, said, "The director and all the staff worked very hard. I am very curious about how the movie will turn out. I think I will wait with anticipation until the final version is released."
Do Kyung-soo, who portrays Sun-woo, the astronaut isolated in space facing numerous crises, said, "It is such an honor and a blessing to have worked with such excellent staff on this project. It was the best set ever."
Kim Hee-ae, playing Moon-young, the overall director of the NASA space station and a key figure in the incident, said, "I think a spectacular work that does not disappoint the audience's expectations will come out, to the extent that people will realize such a film can be made in Korea."

Director Kim Yong-hwa shared his thoughts, saying, "During filming, I was excited, happy, and thrilled as if it were my debut, so I lost track of time," and added, "With the help of excellent actors and an all-time great staff, there were no major difficulties. The film realized everything I had envisioned."
