Hwasun-gun Selects 7 Outstanding Cases of Military Administration Innovation This Year

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) has finally selected seven policies, including ‘Easy Disposal of Difficult-to-Handle Large Waste via Yeogiro,’ as excellent cases of county government innovation this year.

According to the county on the 14th, the excellent cases of county government innovation this year were finalized after a two-step evaluation process: first, seven policies were selected from 27 through a written review, and then a second evaluation was conducted through an online public vote on the ‘People’s Thinking Box’ by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.

The top award went to the environmental department’s ‘Easy Disposal of Difficult-to-Handle Large Waste via Yeogiro.’

The application ‘Yeogiro’ is a lifestyle-oriented online service platform that allows residents to easily request the disposal of large household waste. Previously, residents had to visit the administrative welfare center to pay fees and attach stickers before disposing of large household waste.

To resolve this inconvenience, the county implemented the ‘Yeogiro’ service, enabling residents to conveniently use lifestyle services via smartphones.

Next, collaborative cases such as ▲achieving the nation’s highest vaccination rate through the establishment of a public-private cooperation system won the excellence award, and ▲the evolution of village broadcasting and the establishment of a smart disaster relief system received the encouragement award.

The effort award was given to ▲the establishment of a smart flood management system for rapid response to heavy rain ▲the creation of a safe path for stargazing ▲preemptive testing at COVID-19 vulnerable facilities ▲and the production contest of integrity education and the Clear Me, Bright Hwasun-gun Integrity UCC.

The county selects excellent cases of government innovation annually to discover, share, and spread innovative cases with county departments and residents and to prepare for local government innovation evaluations.

Last year, four cases were selected and announced, including ▲the construction of a generation solidarity complex center ▲the operation of a 1,000-won bus running throughout Hwasun ▲online education for local food cooking classes ▲and the establishment of a national immunotherapy platform.

A county official said, “We hope that the selection of these excellent cases will further upgrade and spread the innovation atmosphere.”
