According to the county on the 13th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare commemorated Mental Health Day on the 10th at the Hwasun Hanium Culture and Sports Center, evaluating mental health case management over the year and selecting local governments that serve as models for other regions to award.
This excellent institution selection contest was conducted in four categories targeting 353 institutions nationwide, including mental health welfare centers, and the center was recognized for its contributions in the field of child and adolescent mental health promotion.
So far, the center has carried out various projects to promote child and adolescent mental health, such as operating a council of related organizations, conducting in-depth assessments for socially maladjusted and high-risk groups, referring for diagnostic tests and supporting treatment costs, and providing customized psychological therapy programs.
In addition, it plans to strengthen efforts to improve students' mental health by conducting life-respecting suicide prevention education and internet and mobile phone overuse prevention education for elementary, middle, and high school students in the area.
Governor Kim San said, “Mental health problems can occur to anyone in modern society, so it is more important than anything else to have an interest in mental health and receive counseling in a timely manner,” and added, “We will do our best to operate mental health programs that are practically helpful to residents.”
