KOTRA Hosts '2021 Sobujang Investment Attraction 2.0 Webinar and Consultation' Online
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] KOTRA announced that it will hold the '2021 Sobujang Investment Attraction 2.0 Webinar and Consultation Meeting' online for three days starting from the 13th to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic materials, parts, and equipment industry.
Through this event, small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies in the Sobujang fields such as semiconductors, future cars, and secondary batteries will meet domestic and international investors. The detailed program consists of a webinar on the investment environment and opportunities in the Sobujang sector, and one-on-one investment consultations between domestic companies seeking investment and global investors.
In the webinar held on the first day, Jang Sanghyun, CEO of KOTRA Invest Korea, will introduce the investment environment of Korea's advanced industries moving toward becoming a global factory. Additionally, experts in four fields?green mobility, semiconductors, smart factories, and batteries?will present investment strategies and various insights by industry.
The consultation meeting held over three days will include 27 investors in the advanced Sobujang sector and about 50 domestic companies seeking investment. Furthermore, 11 local governments and free economic zones that have selected key specialized industries such as Busan (future cars), Ulsan (hydrogen), Gyeongnam (precision machinery), Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority (hydrogen), and Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (secondary batteries) will also conduct consultations for investment attraction.
During this consultation meeting, investors will be provided with information about the Sobujang industry and the actual business demand and value chain status of each region. In addition, consultations will be arranged between global companies seeking new technologies in the future car sector and domestic automobile parts companies. Through cooperation with the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, domestic semiconductor companies that meet the investment demands of global semiconductor companies will also be discovered.
