[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it is considering filing a claim for damages against those involved in the 'Daejang-dong preferential treatment' lobbying scandal.
The Seongnam City officials stated, "After consulting with legal advisors, we received the opinion that if former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation Planning Director Yoo Dong-gyu is found guilty of breach of trust, it would also be possible to claim damages against the parties involved in the case." They added, "If former Director Yoo is indicted, we plan to secure the indictment and proceed with the related procedures."
