Hwasun-gun Supports 'Early Retirement Subsidy for Old Agricultural Machinery'
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 7th that it will provide subsidies for the "Early Retirement of Old Agricultural Machinery" as part of a comprehensive project to reduce fine dust.
The county will provide subsidies for early retirement of tractors and combines (hereinafter agricultural machinery) produced before 2013 that are registered in the agricultural diesel fuel management system.
The support targets are tractors and combines confirmed to be in normal operation at agricultural machinery retirement shops, with a final ownership period of at least six months before the subsidy application date.
Applications are limited to one agricultural machine per owner.
The county plans to accept applications and provide subsidies until the project budget of 159.6 million KRW is exhausted.
The subsidy amount varies by production year and specifications of the agricultural machinery, ranging from a minimum of 1 million KRW to a maximum of 22.49 million KRW for tractors and 13.1 million KRW for combines.
Farmers and agricultural corporations wishing to retire old agricultural machinery early should apply at the eup/myeon administrative welfare center with ▲ documents verifying the production year, specifications, model name, and serial number of the machinery ▲ identification ▲ subsidy payment bankbook.
Once confirmed as a beneficiary of the early retirement support project, the subsidy will be paid after processes including normal operation confirmation, retirement intake, and retirement confirmation at the designated agricultural machinery retirement shop.
After the subsidy is paid, the supply of duty-free fuel will be suspended (canceled), and if enrolled in comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance, cancellation of enrollment must also be requested.
A county official said, "We ask for active participation from many farmers to improve air quality such as fine dust."
