Korea Technology Subsidiary Signs 48.7 Billion KRW Contract for New Construction of ‘Gyeonggi-do Gapyeong Seorak Apartment Complex’
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction, a subsidiary of Korea Technology, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 7th that it has signed a construction contract worth 48.7 billion KRW for a multi-family housing new construction project in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.
The multi-family housing is located at 78-1 Sincheon-ri, Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and will be built on a site area of 15,510㎡ (4,691.78 pyeong) with a total floor area of 38,326.57㎡ (11,593.79 pyeong). The floor area ratio is 246.72%. It will consist of three buildings from two basement floors to 20 above-ground floors, with 260 households planned, composed of three types: 59, 84A, and 84B.
The greatest advantage of this multi-family housing is its excellent residential environment due to the abundant natural infrastructure nearby. To the south is Changui Stream, to the north a neighborhood park, and to the east green spaces, creating a typical baesanimsu (mountain at the back, water in front) location with outstanding views of the mountains and park.
The wide-area transportation network is also excellent. Through Seorak IC, which is a 6-minute drive away, it provides the shortest access to the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, making it only 40 minutes to Seoul. Additionally, Seorak Bus Terminal is located 700 meters away, facilitating easy wide-area access via public transportation.
Moreover, Seorak Middle School and Seorak High School are within a 3-minute walk, and Seorak Library and Miwon Elementary School are within a 5-minute walk. Cheongshim International High School is located within a 4 km radius, boasting a rich educational environment.
The site’s proximity to the Seorak-myeon living area is also a strength. Within a 10-minute walk are major living convenience facilities such as Seorak Bus Terminal, Hanaro Mart, Gapyeong Nonghyup, police station, post office, and the township office, allowing residents to live comfortably without any inconvenience.
A company official stated, “Recently, the recognition of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction’s own brand ELCRU has been increasing through word of mouth,” adding, “As a result, many inquiries about apartment and multi-family housing construction are pouring in from various regions.”
He continued, “This area is attracting attention not only for its abundant natural environment but also for its living infrastructure such as education and transportation,” and said, “We will build the best apartments that everyone wants to live in as a way to give back.”
