Jeongeup-si to Operate 'Free Tax Consultation Day' Starting from the 11th
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province (Mayor Yoo Jinseop) is taking steps to resolve citizens' difficult and complex tax concerns in daily life.
The city announced on the 6th that it will operate a non-face-to-face "Free Tax Consultation Day" for citizens experiencing tax difficulties in daily life from the 11th to the 25th.
The "Free Tax Consultation Day" was established to realize an administration that communicates with citizens by resolving taxpayers' difficulties, protecting their rights, and providing tax information.
To prevent COVID-19 infection, the consultation will be conducted non-face-to-face, with professional tax consultations provided by the City Hall Audit Department's Taxpayer Protection Officer (local tax field) and tax accountants (national tax field).
This is expected to be of great help to elderly people with mobility difficulties who find it hard to use tax accountants, busy citizens, small business owners, and low-income citizens.
Those who wish to receive consultation can submit a consultation application form by the 25th to Jeongeup Senior Welfare Center, Northern Senior Welfare Center, Western Welfare Center, or each eup, myeon, and dong community service center.
Applications can also be submitted by phone, email, or mail, and the consultation application form can be downloaded from the Jeongeup City website.
A city official said, "We are operating the visiting 'Free Tax Consultation Day' to actively resolve citizens' tax concerns," and added, "We hope many citizens participate and thoroughly resolve their usual tax worries."
Meanwhile, since 2018, the city has assigned a Taxpayer Protection Officer to the City Hall Audit Department, and has received great responses from taxpayers through prompt and fair tax consultations and handling of grievance complaints.
