Jeonbuk Gochang-gun, Relay of Donations to Comfort Neighbors Weary from COVID-19
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] In Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, donations to comfort neighbors exhausted by COVID-19 continue to bring warm emotions.
According to Gochang-gun on the 3rd, Theoreun Cooperative in Simwon-myeon (CEO Hwang Ui-min) visited Gochang County Office on the 30th of last month and delivered 300 boxes of Yakdoraji Ssanghwa Tea (worth 18 million KRW).
CEO Hwang Ui-min said, “Theoreun Cooperative, a 6th industry certified business that values rural worth and a (preliminary) social enterprise moving forward with social values, will continue to carry out various social contribution activities and strive to create a warmer world together with its members.”
Daesan Farm CEO Kim Jeong-chae donated 15,000 eggs (worth 4 million KRW).
CEO Kim Jeong-chae said, “I am donating eggs to carry on the precious meaning of the Egg Together campaign, which is about eating and sharing eggs together.”
Good People International Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters also delivered 100 Hope Boxes composed of 16 types of staple food sets to Gochang-gun.
Namhae Chemical Gochang Agency CEO Kim Tae-kyung also donated 3 million KRW, and Bae Mi-seung from Seokjeong Village, Gochang-eup, who retired from medical practice and returned to farming in Gochang, donated 500,000 KRW.
Yoo Gi-sang, Gochang County Governor, said, “I thank the precious hearts of those who comfort neighbors exhausted by the resurgence of COVID-19,” and added, “We will use the donations meaningfully for neighbors in need according to the donors’ intentions.”
