Hyundai Motor, 178,000 Units Sold in the US in Q3... 4% Increase
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Company's U.S. sales volume in the third quarter reached 178,500 units, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year.
Hyundai Motor America (HMA) announced the third-quarter sales performance on the 1st (local time), revealing these figures.
Hyundai explained that sales increased across its lineup in the U.S., including a 139% rise in Nexo sales, as well as increases in Venue (52%), Elantra (20%), Accent (18%), Ioniq (17%), and Sonata (15%).
Retail sales to general customers in the third quarter totaled 162,616 units, up 1%. Based on last month’s figures, sales were 53,800 units, down 2% compared to the same month last year.

Randy Parker, Senior Vice President of Sales at HMA, said, "This year, Hyundai secured the second-largest market share in the industry," adding, "We expect this trend to continue."
