This project is being promoted to induce young people to settle in the region by supporting youth startups that can coexist with the village, utilizing vacant houses or empty stores in the Chungjang-ro 4·5-ga area.
Chungjang-ro 4·5-ga attracts attention as an area with many advantages for young people to start businesses, as the Chungjang-ro Merchants Association is at the center, showing high willingness to participate and develop this project, and it is a region with a large floating population.
Dong-gu selected 10 teams of young entrepreneurs with passion and ideas for startups (5 teams in the 1st round, 3 teams in the 2nd round, and 2 teams in the 3rd round), and on the 29th held the 3rd signing ceremony for 2 teams of young entrepreneurs and vacant house owners who completed the matching process of vacant houses and empty stores suitable for their startup items.
The selected young entrepreneurs will be supported with up to 13.75 million KRW as initial startup funds including ▲startup space creation costs ▲rental fees ▲material costs and product development costs, and customized education, consulting, promotional marketing, and financial support will be continuously promoted.
Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, “Ten teams of young entrepreneurs who will unfold new dreams based in Chungjang-ro 4·5-ga have completed matching and are starting their businesses in earnest,” adding, “Although the start is humble, I hope many people visit and support so that the young people’s solid dreams can lead to good results within the region.”
