Who Is the Solution to Global Warming? ... Ulsan Economic Free Zone Authority and UNIST Hold the Second 'Ulsan Hydrogen Academy'
Ulsan Moving Towards a Future Eco-Friendly Hydrogen Energy Hub City
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority and the Low-Dimensional Carbon Innovative Materials Research Center at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) will hold the "2021 Ulsan Hydrogen Academy (2nd session)" at 1:30 PM on the 30th in Auditorium 106 of the UNIST Industry-Academia Convergence Campus within the Techno Industrial Complex.
The first academy session was held on July 15 under the theme of "Hydrogen Economy and Hydrogen Industry Outlook."
The second academy session will also consist of two lectures.
Professor Baek Jong-beom of UNIST will give a lecture on "Green Hydrogen Production-Transportation-Storage-Utilization," discussing solutions to global warming including the activation of the hydrogen economy and the expansion of renewable energy use.
Tak Song-su, Director of the Hydrogen Safety Technology Institute (Korea Gas Safety Corporation), will explain the current status of safety management promotion in hydrogen energy transition under the theme "Current Status of Safety Management Promotion in Hydrogen Energy Transition," covering general hydrogen economy, government policy progress, establishment of hydrogen testing, certification, and education infrastructure, and trends in liquefied hydrogen safety standards.
The 3rd Hydrogen Academy is scheduled to be held on October 28 under the theme "Understanding the Hydrogen Society and Eco-friendly Mobility."
Participation can be applied through the 2021 Ulsan Hydrogen Academy website or UNIST.
The "2021 Ulsan Hydrogen Academy" limits attendance to 40 people through prior reservation according to COVID-19 social distancing stage guidelines, and will be live-streamed to 60 people via online Zoom.
