TmaxSoft Pursues Management Rights Sale
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Software (SW) company TmaxSoft is pursuing the sale of its management rights.
According to industry sources on the 29th, TmaxSoft recently appointed the accounting firm Samjong KPMG as the lead manager for the sale and is pushing forward with the sale of shares. The sale target is 60.7% of management rights shares, including the shares of Chairman Park Dae-yeon, the largest shareholder.
TmaxSoft is a 'first-generation venture' company established in 1997. Its main product, middleware, is software that intermediates between the operating system (OS) installed on computing resources such as enterprise servers and the applications running on the OS. Its flagship product, JEUS, maintains a market share in the domestic market of over 40%.
Due to increased software demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic, sales and operating profit in the first half of this year grew by 20% and 42% respectively compared to the same period last year, showing a recovery in performance.

A TmaxSoft official stated, "Considering the strong performance in the first half, the sale price is expected to be around 1 trillion won."
