Ireland Ranks 1st in COVID-19 Resilience... South Korea Maintains 26th Place
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Ireland has been named the best country to live in during the COVID-19 era.
In the COVID-19 resilience rankings released by Bloomberg on the 28th (local time), Ireland ranked first among 53 countries evaluated.
Ireland rose nearly 40 places compared to earlier this year, thanks to strict entry restrictions allowing only fully vaccinated individuals or recent COVID-19 recoverees to enter the country.
It is also analyzed that measures allowing internal freedoms, such as permitting dining inside restaurants for vaccinated citizens, had an impact.
This month's rankings highlight the strong performance of European countries. Among the top 10 countries, besides Ireland, there are a total of eight countries including Spain, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, France, Switzerland, and Norway.
