Director Shin Su-won’s 'Hommage' Invited to Tokyo International Film Festival Competition Section
Actors Lee Jung-eun, Kwon Hae-hyo, Tang Jun-sang, Lee Joo-sil, Kim Ho-jung, and others appear
Distributor Jun Film announced on the 28th that director Shin Su-won's new film "Homage" has been invited to the competition section of the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film depicts the journey of a middle-aged woman working as a film director who restores the films of a female director active in the 1960s. Actors Lee Jung-eun, Kwon Hae-hyo, Tang Jun-sang, Lee Joo-sil, and Kim Ho-jung star in the film. Director Shin has delivered profound social messages through works such as "Pluto," "Madonna," and "A Young Man's Sunny Place." This time, she raises questions about what film and life truly are. This is not her first entry into the Tokyo International Film Festival. She won the grand prize in the "Winds of Asia" section in 2010 with her first feature film "Rainbow." This year's festival will be held from October 30 to November 8. "Homage" is scheduled to be released in the first half of next year.
