Support Payments Made to 580 Additional Recipients at the End of September
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 28th that it has secured additional budget to expand the support targets for the 'Youth Welfare Support Fund for Employment in Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Business Owners,' the first of its kind in the province, and will begin disbursing support funds to the second round of beneficiaries on the 30th.
In July, after reviewing 1,232 applicants, the city selected 500 first-round beneficiaries with the lowest incomes, excluding 158 individuals, and paid a total of 150 million KRW, 300,000 KRW each, as the first installment of welfare support funds in August.
For the 574 individuals who were not selected in the first round, the city will provide the first installment (300,000 KRW per person) on the 30th.
The second installment of the welfare support fund will be paid in early November after verifying eligibility conditions at the time of application. Those required to submit documents are recipients of the first installment among the first and second round beneficiaries. Youth workers who have moved to another region or resigned during the program, which are grounds for suspension of support, must submit a program suspension application.
The Youth Welfare Support Fund program provides up to 1.2 million KRW annually in mobile Jinju Sarang Gift Certificates, paid in four installments of 300,000 KRW each quarter.
