Dark Alleyways Protected by Youth... Hapcheon-gun Youth Volunteer Group Donates Talent to Mural Painting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that on the 25th, the '2030 Foresto Youth Volunteer Group' participated in talent donation to paint murals in the alleys around Chogye-myeon.
The mural work was carried out under the theme "Flowers that make the alleys smile," targeting six walls along a 50m alley at 100 Chogye-ri, Chogye-myeon.
The village mural painting project is promoted annually through cooperation between Hapcheon-gun, Hapcheon Police Station, and private volunteer organizations to improve the environment of women’s safety zones, reduce residents' anxiety, and enhance the sense of safety.
The 2030 Foresto Youth Volunteer Group is composed of volunteers in their 20s and 30s within the area and is recognized for proactively leading various measures for young people to settle and gather in the region.
Chairman Choi Jae-hwang of the volunteer group said, “I am glad that the mural painting work improves the alley environment and brings joy to the residents passing by,” adding, “We will actively expand the activities of young people and continuously strive to create a youth movement within Hapcheon.”
