Deputy Foreign Minister Choi Jong-geon Visits Pakistan... Discusses Afghan Issue
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 27th that Choi Jong-geon, the First Vice Minister, will visit Islamabad, Pakistan to attend the 11th Korea-Pakistan Policy Consultation to be held on the 29th.
During this visit, Vice Minister Choi will discuss practical cooperation measures between the two countries and exchange views on regional situations and response measures through meetings with senior officials of the Pakistani government.
In particular, he will express gratitude to the Pakistani side for their active cooperation during the successful execution of the 'Miracle Operation' and seek directions for communication and cooperation between high-level officials of Korea and Pakistan to promote stability and peace in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "This visit takes place at a crucial time when high-level communication between the two countries is essential to respond to the complex and urgent changes in the South Asian situation following the Afghanistan crisis," adding, "It will be an important opportunity to expand the scope of cooperation with Pakistan while strengthening communication between the two countries to contribute to peace and stability in the region."
