The products introduced this time were selected through the 'New Traditional Liquor Product Evaluation Meeting' held on the 24th of last month at the Homeplus headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation. This event opened up sales opportunities for 15 local breweries struggling to find distribution channels, and Homeplus was able to offer a wider variety of products to the 'homesuljok' (home drinking enthusiasts).
Representative products include Dureyang by Dure Brewery, which creates a healthy food culture without using chemical fertilizers; Maehwarang, a true liquor distilled at low pressure and temperature after low-temperature fermentation of Korean rice; Daedaero Hongju, Jindo Hongju, a tribute liquor presented to kings during the Joseon Dynasty; Omegisul by Jeju Saemju, a traditional liquor from Jeju Island considered one of the three great liquors since the Goryeo Dynasty; and Seonunsan Bokbunja-ju, made from carefully selected high-quality bokbunja (Korean black raspberries) from Seonunsan in Gochang and aged for a long period.
Homeplus will sell these products at 18 stores including Hapjeong, Asiad, Sejong, and Incheon Songdo starting from the 18th. Additionally, from the 30th of this month to the 27th of next month, Homeplus will showcase 10 products including Dureyang, Maehwarang, Daedaero Hongju, Omegisul, Donghak 1957, Chusa, Jangsu Omija-ju, Seonunsan Bokbunja-ju, Jeju Gamgyul Sul Gyulroman, and Maesil Wonju at 40 stores nationwide during the 'Homesul Festival.'
