On the morning of the same day, Chu held a press conference at the Citizens' Communication Room on the first floor of the Gwangju City Council in Seo-gu, Gwangju, claiming, "Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung seems to have a fear of runoff elections, and former party leader Lee Nak-yeon is attacking his own party's candidate using the logic of People Power Party's Yoon Seok-youl."
She criticized, "Governor Lee demands overwhelming support for himself and insists on proceeding without a runoff vote," adding, "This is arrogant and seems to stem from a fear of the runoff." She continued, "The runoff vote is a process to present one's vision, verify competitiveness for the general election, and move forward as one team. We must remember that the judge is the people."
Regarding former leader Lee, she said, "I wonder if he is really a candidate of the Democratic Party," and sharply criticized, "He is attacking his own party's candidate by using the frame that former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl brought up to divert attention from the 'alleged report solicitation scandal.' He should be ashamed to even participate in the Democratic Party primary without properly understanding the essence of the issue."
On the allegations against former Prosecutor General Yoon, she defined it as "a representative case of national disorder caused by Yoon Seok-youl's political prosecution," pointing out, "The core is the 'black collusion' between the prosecution and the opposition party."
She argued, "When the prosecution drafts retaliatory accusations and delivers them to the opposition, the opposition urges political attacks and investigations, and the media exaggerates this in a 'prosecution-media-politics cartel' of reciprocal political manipulation."

She also explained, "In the personnel reshuffle carried out in August last year, Yoon Seok-youl strongly demanded the retention of Prosecutor Son Jun-sung," adding, "At the time, it was hard to understand why they tried to keep Son Jun-sung in position even by demoting his rank, but later I learned that the office drafting the judge surveillance documents was the Investigation Information Policy Office. It is presumed that the commissioned accusation documents were also prepared there."
