View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Lee Junhaeng, CEO of Baxel Bio (Professor at Chonnam National University Medical School), has been appointed as the General Organizing Chair for next year's International Society for Vaccines (ISV) Annual Conference.
Baxel Bio announced on the 16th that at the '2021 ISV Annual Conference,' held online from the 13th to 15th (local time), Lee was appointed as the General Organizing Chair responsible for establishing the overall program of the 2022 Annual Conference scheduled to be held in Quebec, Canada, in June next year.
The ISV is a scholarly vaccine organization established in 1994, consisting of leading experts and researchers in the field of vaccines. Since being elected as an ISV Fellow in 2017, Lee has continuously maintained ties with ISV and served as a board member. At the 2019 General Assembly, he was elected as the Organizing Chair, responsible for setting the themes, programs, and selecting speakers for the annual conference. Lee also serves as the co-chair of the ISV Scientific Committee for next year alongside Professor Linda Klavinskis of King's College London.

Lee stated, “I plan to discuss major programs and current issues with various scholars,” adding, “We intend to focus on next-generation vaccine platform technologies to prevent the spread of emerging infectious diseases, messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, nanoparticle vaccines, and other latest technological trends and international cooperation strategies to actively respond to influenza viruses and coronaviruses.”
