BTS 'Dynamite' Selected for Rolling Stone's '500 Greatest Songs' List
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] The group BTS's song "Dynamite" has been included in the list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time selected by the famous American music magazine Rolling Stone.
Rolling Stone announced this updated "Best Songs 500" list on the 15th (local time).
"Dynamite" was ranked 346th on this list.
Rolling Stone praised BTS's first No. 1 single on the Billboard chart, "Dynamite," as "a landmark for the Korean group conquering the world."
Rolling Stone created the original "Best Songs 500" list in 2004 and has revamped it for the first time in 17 years, announcing the new list on this day.
Rolling Stone conducted a survey of over 250 experts including singers, producers, critics, and journalists, and based on the results, newly added 254 songs including "Dynamite" to the Best Songs list.
Rolling Stone noted that while the Best Songs list 17 years ago was dominated by rock and soul genres, the new list includes more hip-hop, modern country, indie rock, Latin pop, reggae, and rhythm and blues (R&B) songs.
