Understanding the Success of Korean and Thai Dramas on Video Platforms
On the 13th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will hold the 'Korea-Thailand Copyright Forum' online at 3:30 PM on the 14th in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand. The event, hosted by the Korea Copyright Commission, will focus on the theme 'Understanding the Success of Korean and Thai Dramas on Video Platforms,' where experts and drama producers from both countries will share opinions and strategies for entering the video platform market. Park Woong-jin, Head of the Thailand Business Center at the Overseas Business Department of the Korea Creative Content Agency, will present on 'The Cultural Influence of K-Dramas,' and Wabi Sabi, CEO of Siwat Sawatmanikun Studio in Thailand, will speak on 'Why Y Dramas?' The discussion panel includes Isariya Sangarun, Senior Trade Officer of the Intellectual Property Department at the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand; Jeong Seong-hoon, Head of CJ ENM's Hong Kong branch and Chief Operating Officer of its Thailand branch; Chananya Pannaraks, Commercial Counselor at the Royal Thai Embassy in Korea; and Chalermchatri Yukon, Director of the Thai View Program.
