Gyeongnam Province to Collect Toll Fees on Private Roads Including Machang Bridge and Geoga Expressway During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 10th that, following the last holiday, tolls will be normally charged on three privately financed roads within the province (Geoga-daero, Machang Bridge, and the Changwon~Busan road) during this Chuseok holiday as well.
The government declared on the 3rd that the two-week period including the Chuseok holiday (from the 13th to the 26th) will be a special quarantine period, and tolls on expressways will be charged as usual.
Accordingly, the province decided to collect tolls on privately financed roads managed by the province to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 within the province due to large-scale movement during the holiday period and to promote a culture of refraining from travel.
