Hwasun-gun Imposes and Notifies Regular Property Tax of 7.93 Billion KRW
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 10th that it has imposed and notified about 50,000 cases of regular property tax for September 2021, amounting to 7.93 billion KRW.
Property tax is imposed annually on owners of houses, buildings, and land as of the tax base date, June 1, and the payment period is until the 30th of this month.
In July, the first installment (50%) of buildings and houses is imposed, and this month, the second installment (the remaining 50%) for land and houses is imposed respectively.
However, if the property tax amount for houses is 200,000 KRW or less, the full amount is imposed in July.
This year, for the housing portion of the property tax, a special tax rate was applied to reduce the burden on residents struggling due to COVID-19, by lowering the property tax rate by 0.05% per bracket for single households owning one house with a publicly announced price of 900 million KRW or less.
Payment methods include all financial institutions' CD/ATM nationwide, NongHyup virtual accounts, credit cards, and the local tax payment system, Wetax.
Also, by using the county ARS simple payment service, local taxes can be conveniently paid anytime and anywhere with a phone call, including mobile micropayment and credit card payment after checking the tax.
For more details, please contact the county office's Finance Division Imposition Team or the finance officers at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers.
