Muan-gun, Selected Outstanding Works in Youth Population Awareness Change Contest

Outstanding Works to Be Featured on County Website and SNS... Used as Promotional Materials for Population Policy
[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 10th that it has selected 7 excellence awards and 21 encouragement awards after reviewing 56 posters and 6 UCC submissions for the recent Youth Population Awareness Change Contest.
The excellent works selected in this review were submitted by elementary, middle, and high school students attending schools in Muan-gun from May 3 to August 13, on the theme of population issues.
The judging was conducted separately for the elementary division and the middle/high school division. The panel of judges, composed of experts specialized in youth art including local middle school art teachers, art academy representatives, and cultural center secretaries, evaluated the submissions based on communication, relevance, completeness, and creativity.
The significance of this contest lies in raising awareness among youth, the future generation, about the seriousness of South Korea’s population issues such as low birthrate and aging, and in fostering positive empathy toward childbirth while contemplating the future together with students.
Governor Kim San expressed gratitude to the elementary, middle, and high school students who showed interest and participated passionately in the Population Awareness Change Contest, stating, “The winning works will be posted on the county website, Facebook, and other SNS platforms to actively promote our county’s population policies and be used in non-face-to-face awareness change education.”
