Warm Donations Continue Ahead of Chuseok Holiday in Imsil-gun
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] In Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk (Governor Sim Min), the spirit of sharing for neighbors in need is heating up ahead of the Korean traditional holiday, Chuseok.
According to the county on the 10th, Solar Park Energy Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Geunseong) donated 500 kg of white rice (50 bags of 10 kg each) worth 1.6 million KRW to the county through the Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea on the 9th.
Solar Park Energy, a specialized company in renewable energy facilities such as solar power with the motto “a company in harmony with nature,” has been steadily practicing sharing and has been a great help to the local community.
In particular, this company, despite having no special ties with the county, is a grateful company that never forgets to donate every holiday for the residents.
The Water Love Sharing Group of the Korea Water Resources Corporation Seomjingang Dam Management Office (CEO Kim Hyunsik) also donated 20 sets of daily necessities (worth 1 million KRW) to the county through the Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea on the same day.
The Water Love Sharing Group is a volunteer organization within the Korea Water Resources Corporation that actively engages in volunteer activities and donations for local residents from time to time.
Especially, they have continuously donated masks and daily necessities to help residents struggling due to COVID-19, providing great assistance to the community.
Daeyoung Lumber Industry (CEO Kim Daeyoung) also donated 500 trays of eggs (worth 3.5 million KRW) to the county through the Community Chest of Korea on the same day.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, they made the donation non-face-to-face without holding a separate delivery ceremony.
On the same day, the Imsil-gun branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association (CEO Kim Seongdu) donated 316 kg of pork (worth 3,476,000 KRW) to the county ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The Imsil-gun branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association has been donating pork annually to vulnerable groups in the local community and has been leading the creation of a community atmosphere of coexistence through these activities.
Governor Sim Min said, “I deeply thank those who donated for neighbors in need despite the difficult situation caused by COVID-19,” and added, “We will ensure that the donors’ beautiful intentions are well delivered to vulnerable groups and social welfare facilities.”
