"Divorced Wife's Boyfriend Sexually Assaults Middle School 3rd Grade Daughter Raised Alone"... Angry Father's 청 청원
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A petition from a father expressing his frustration over the rejection of an arrest warrant for his divorced wife's boyfriend, who sexually assaulted their middle school daughter but was not detained due to no flight risk, has sparked controversy.
On the 3rd, a petition titled "Please save my family (Child and Youth Sexual Crimes)" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board.
The petitioner, who identified himself as the father of a third-year middle school daughter, said, "I divorced (my ex-wife) when my daughter was 3 months old and raised her alone for 16 years," adding, "As she spent more time alone after school, she seemed to feel lonely and wanted to see her mother, whom she hadn’t seen for a long time, so I took her to her mother’s house. The child had been under a lot of stress and was seeing a psychiatrist, so I thought 'Maybe she’ll feel better if she sees her mother.'"
He continued, "About a week after (my daughter stayed with her mother), I received a shocking call from her homeroom teacher," saying, "The mother’s boyfriend sexually assaulted my daughter and is currently at the police station."

He said, "The mother tells me to settle the matter out of court, which makes me even more furious. No matter how long they have been apart since she was young, she is the mother, so how can she talk about a settlement with a middle school third grader?" He added, "I want to kill them both, but I’m holding back thinking, 'If I become a criminal, who will protect my daughter?'"
He went on, "That mother keeps calling my daughter to settle because she’s worried about what will happen to her boyfriend," and expressed his frustration, saying, "My daughter has been in a psychiatric hospital for 3 months; I feel so sorry I could die."
The petitioner expressed outrage over the rejection of the arrest warrant for the perpetrator due to no flight risk. He said, "The evidence is clear, but after 3 months of investigation, the arrest warrant was rejected, and the suspect is currently under investigation without detention," adding, "There is clear evidence on the perpetrator’s smartphone, including conversations with the child’s mother, but the warrant was rejected because there was no flight risk. The perpetrator touched and molested my daughter’s genitals and mocked her, so how can the arrest warrant be rejected?" he expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling.
