'COVID-19 Vaccine First Dose Coverage Surpasses 60%'
On the 7th, the first dose vaccination rate for COVID-19 surpassed 60%. According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team), as of around 10:30 AM that day, the cumulative number of people who received the first dose was counted at 30,878,725, recording a vaccination rate of 60.1% of the total population. The number of people who completed the full vaccination as recommended is 18,508,241, which is about 36.0% of the population. The Promotion Team forecasted, "We expect to successfully achieve the goal of completing the first dose vaccination for 36 million people, which is 70% of the entire population, before the Chuseok holiday." The COVID-19 vaccination center set up at Mapo Art Center was crowded with citizens wanting to get vaccinated that day.
