Naju City Recruiting Participants for Community Growth Support 'Resident Organizer Training'
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 7th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘Resident Organizer Education’ to support the growth of local communities.
This education focuses on nurturing resident organizers who organize residents and promote resident autonomy to solve community problems.
From the 28th of this month to the 19th of next month, the course will be held at the Public Interest Activity Support Center’s main conference room, divided into an afternoon class (2 PM to 5 PM) and an evening class (6:30 PM to 9:30 PM), each consisting of 4 sessions.
The main topics include ‘Introduction to Resident Organization and the Role of Organization,’ ‘Effective Meeting Management Methods for Resident Organizations,’ ‘Democratic Communication Methods in Resident Organization Activity Sites,’ and ‘Elements and Principles of a Healthy Community.’
Additionally, the course will focus on the necessity of civil society public interest activities, the role and identity of resident organizers, planning resident meetings, forming relationships in resident gatherings, maintaining community spirit, and fostering a healthy organizational culture.
The total number of participants is 40 (20 per class), and anyone interested in community activists, resident autonomy committees, or resident organization activities can participate.
Applications can be submitted through the Public Interest Activity Support Center website from the 8th to the 15th.
