Gwangju Customs Office Implements Special Export-Import Clearance Measures for Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Main Customs Office (Customs Director Jeong Seung-hwan) plans to operate a '24-hour Special Customs Clearance Support Team' during the Chuseok holiday period to ensure that export and import customs clearance is not disrupted.
Gwangju Customs will activate the export-import customs clearance system until the 24th of this month to facilitate the swift clearance of urgent raw materials and parts, and to support the timely shipment of export cargo.
In addition, to prevent cases of fines imposed due to violations of the export cargo shipment obligation period (one month), they plan to provide maximum support to export companies by processing shipment extension applications even during the holiday period.
To assist the cash flow of small and medium export companies, a 'Special Customs Refund Support Period' will also be operated until the 17th of this month.
During the special support period, the refund processing deadline will be extended to 8 PM, and even if document review is required, the refund will be paid first, with document review conducted after the Chuseok holiday.
Jeong Seung-hwan, Director of Gwangju Main Customs Office, stated, "We will support small and medium export companies and ensure that export-import customs logistics operate smoothly during the Chuseok holiday so that companies do not experience any inconvenience."
