Yongsan-gu Recruiting Participants for 1:1 Customized Mock Interviews... First-Come, First-Served from the 13th, Free Participation... Targeting 40 Third-Year Students from Local High Schools or Yongsan-gu Residents, 30-Minute Online Sessions via ZOOM per Person
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjanghyun) is recruiting participants for one-on-one customized mock interviews in preparation for the 2022 academic year college admission early decision process.
The participation fee is free.
Current teachers belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education College Admission Guidance Support Group will conduct the interviews using the online video conferencing app 'Zoom' with customized questions prepared based on each student's school record and self-introduction letter, with 30 minutes per student.
The recruitment target is 40 third-year high school students in the region or examinees residing in Yongsan-gu. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, and applicants beyond the recruitment quota will be placed on a waiting list to be given interview opportunities in order if cancellations occur.
Applications can be made from 9 a.m. on the 13th of this month through school principal recommendations and the Yongsan-gu Education Comprehensive Portal website.
Participants must submit their self-introduction letters and school records, which include their selected desired university and department, between September 27 and October 1. After matching examinees with instructors, the submitted documents will be delivered to the matched instructors.
The mock interviews will be held over a total of 8 sessions from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 16.
Seongjanghyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We are actively exploring what local governments can do to reduce private education expenses and normalize public education. With 72 days left until the college entrance exam, what high school seniors preparing for early decision need most is mock interviews. We hope participating students actively utilize the mock interviews and receive great help.”
