Park Seong-il, Wanju County Governor, "Voluntary Practice Important for Chuseok Quarantine"

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Park Seong-il, the governor of Wanju County, meticulously checked measures related to COVID-19, the national support fund, and daily civil complaints, and instructed to ensure that residents do not experience any inconvenience during the Chuseok holiday period.

On the 6th, Governor Park urged through an expanded executive meeting to make efforts to ensure that there is no negligence in establishing a quarantine network during the Chuseok holiday period amid the 4th wave of the pandemic.

Currently, Wanju County is operating social distancing level 3 in the Galsan-ri area of the Innovation City, and level 2 in other areas.

Governor Park said, “As the amount of movement increases during the holiday period, the administration will carefully manage to prevent local infection cases, but voluntary practice by residents is also important,” and added, “Please make thorough efforts in publicity.”

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the county will close the Wanju County public cemetery from the 18th to the 22nd, and allow early visits to ancestral graves from the 6th to the 17th.

In addition, an emergency response system for handling daily civil complaints such as price control, roadside environment maintenance, household waste disposal, and emergency medical treatment has been established to ensure residents’ convenience during the holiday period.

Furthermore, with the COVID-19 coexistence national support fund being distributed from the 13th, Governor Park ordered flexible operation according to the conditions of each region to consider residents’ convenience.

Governor Park requested, “Eup and myeon heads should fully understand the conditions of residents and pay special attention to prevent complaints so that the national support fund can be of great help to the residents.”
