Government Waives Fees for Issuance of Resident Registration Certificates and Extracts for National Support Fund Applications
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 6th that it will waive the issuance fee for resident registration certificate extracts required as proof for proxy applicants when applying for the COVID-19 coexistence national support fund.
There is no fee when obtaining the resident registration certificate extract through the online government civil service, but if issued by visiting the eup/myeon/dong community service center in person or using an unmanned civil service issuance machine, a fee of 400 KRW per copy (200 KRW for unmanned machines) must be paid.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety explained, "To somewhat reduce the economic burden on citizens applying for the COVID-19 coexistence national support fund, we have decided to waive the resident registration certificate extract issuance fee starting from the 6th, when the application begins," adding, "A notice has been sent to all local governments and is currently being implemented."
