Jeonbuk Democratic Progressive Education Superintendent Single Candidate to Be Decided by November 30
The Candidate Selection Preparation Committee Reportedly Finalizes Candidate Confirmation Date and Primary Election Method
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] The unified Democratic Progressive candidate for the Jeonbuk Superintendent of Education in next year's local elections is expected to be decided by November 30.
According to the education sector on the 6th, the Jeonbuk Democratic Progressive Superintendent of Education Provincial Candidate Selection Preparatory Committee recently held a meeting and finalized the procedures for selecting a single candidate.
Accordingly, the selection of the unified Democratic Progressive candidate for Jeonbuk Superintendent of Education will be conducted through a primary vote and public opinion survey targeting the electorate between November 22 and 26.
The voting method is known to combine mobile and internet methods.
Then, the single candidate will be finalized and announced on November 30.
Currently, three candidates have declared their participation in the single candidate race: Lee Hanggeun, former Jeonju Education Director; Cha Sangcheol, former Director of Jeonbuk Education Information Research Institute; and Cheon Hoseong, professor at Jeonju National University of Education.
The preparatory committee is also said to have decided to recognize members who joined each candidate’s campaign as part of the electorate.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Progressive Candidate Unification Committee plans to hold a press conference at the provincial Office of Education on the 7th to announce the upcoming schedule for selecting the single candidate and the expectations for the next Superintendent of Education.
