View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Honam University (Department Head Lee Yang-won) announced on the 2nd that it conducted an "On-site Major Experience" for students of Dongmyeong High School (Principal Lee Myung-seok) at the Changjo Hall the previous day.
The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering and eight students from Dongmyeong High School. The program included an introduction to the department's curriculum, employment fields for graduates, and an explanation of the 2022 academic year early admission process.
During the artificial intelligence hands-on practice, participants collected data distinguishing videos of people wearing masks and not wearing masks, trained the data, and coded it into the desired model. Afterwards, a tour of the department's laboratories and classrooms was conducted.
Department Head Lee Yang-won said, "I hope that the students who participated in the On-site Major Experience developed an interest in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering and had a valuable opportunity to explore their aptitudes and career paths."
