Hapcheon-gun Holds Meeting on Garlic and Onion Distribution to Promote Agricultural Development
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it held a garlic and onion distribution sector meeting to bring together stakeholders and farmers in the garlic and onion distribution fields to frankly discuss the difficulties faced by farms and listen to their opinions for the development of Hapcheon agriculture.
The meeting was held with about 40 participants including Bae Mong-hee, Chairman of Hapcheon County Council, Jeong Bong-hoon, Vice Chairman of Hapcheon County Council, members of the Industrial Construction Committee of Hapcheon County Council, Shin Jae-soon, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, Noh Tae-yoon, President of Hapcheon Dongbu Nonghyup, and Jang Moon-cheol, CEO of Hapcheon Distribution.
The meeting proceeded in a format where members discussed their difficulties and made suggestions, and the administration, council, Nonghyup, and Hapcheon Distribution responded. The discussion was so in-depth that it far exceeded the originally scheduled time.
Lee Dong-ryeol, Director of the Agricultural Distribution Division, said, “Although it is impossible to solve all the suggestions that came up here overnight, the administration will do its utmost to promptly prepare solutions and support the farmers.”
