Naju Public Institution Employees Present Blood Donation Certificates to Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Employees of public institutions in Naju Innovation City donated 376 blood donation certificates collected through the 'Love Blood Donation' campaign to Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital.
According to Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital on the 2nd, 10 public institutions in Naju Innovation City, including Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Creative Content Agency, KEPCO KDN, Korea Power Exchange, and Arts Council Korea, recently delivered 376 blood donation certificates collected through the 'Bitgaram Love Relay Blood Donation Event' to the hospital's social work team.
It is reported that they donated the blood donation certificates to help patients in need of transfusions due to emergency surgeries amid a continuous shortage of emergency blood caused by a significant decrease in blood donations during the fourth wave of COVID-19.
Son Obong, head of the social work team at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, said, “We are experiencing difficulties in blood supply due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the decrease in blood donors. We are truly grateful that the employees of public institutions in Naju Innovation City, who have become like one family after relocating here, have participated in sharing life.”
