Muan-gun Officially Launches Bulmu Park Remodeling Project

[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 2nd that it will actively promote the remodeling project of Bulmu Park in Muan-eup in the second half of this year for the convenience of the residents.

The county will invest a total budget of 750 million KRW to replace the old facilities of Bulmu Park located in Gyochon-ri, Muan-eup, and carry out a remodeling project that includes themed tree planting and nighttime landscape improvement.

Through this project, the old pavement blocks will be replaced, and themed spaces such as pocket gardens and resting areas composed of various flowering plants will be created.

In addition, the county plans to plant an additional 1,000 deciduous shrubs that allow residents to feel the seasons, and improve the nighttime landscape by installing lighting at the octagonal pavilion and sculptures, thereby rebirthing the old and worn Bulmu Park into a beautiful space.

Once the remodeling project is completed, it is expected that nearby residents and park visitors will be able to enjoy a cleaner and more pleasant park environment.

Governor Kim San said, “Through this remodeling project, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy rest and healing in the more comfortable Bulmu Park,” and added, “We will do our best to successfully carry out the project so that residents can be satisfied.”

Meanwhile, Bulmu Park is a representative urban park of Muan-gun established in 1977, and this remodeling project is scheduled to begin construction in early September and be completed in November after about three months of construction.
