Invitation Not Sent Apple... New iPhone to Be Unveiled on the 14th?
John Prosser and Others Support the '14th Hypothesis'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Speculation is growing that Apple's new product launch event, originally expected on September 7, has been postponed to the 14th.
According to industry sources on the 1st, Apple has yet to send out official invitations for the late September event. Given the usual practice of sending invitations a week in advance, it is highly likely that the event date will be after the initially anticipated September 7.
Sam Kohl, editor of AppleTrack, said, "The fact that no invitation has arrived today means the event is not scheduled for the 7th," adding, "I would even bet that the iPhone 13 will be unveiled on the 14th." IT specialized media such as Macworld and AppleHub also predicted the 14th as the date.
Earlier, cautious speculation had emerged that the date would be September 14. Famous IT tipster John Prosser also supported this view, citing sources that "the pre-order and sales dates for the iPhone 13 lineup have been confirmed as September 17 and 24."
At this late-year event, various new products are expected to be unveiled, including the iPhone 13, Apple Watch 7, 3rd generation AirPods, iPad Mini, new iPad, and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
