Jangseong-gun Promotes 'Support Projects for Youth, Newlyweds, and Multichild Families'

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 31st that it is accepting applications for participation in the ‘Youth Hope Stepping Stone Savings Account Project’ and the ‘Newlywed and Multi-Child Family Housing Support Project.’

The Youth Hope Stepping Stone Savings Account Project is a program that supports low-income working youth in the province to prepare for a stable future and achieve independence.

If a youth deposits 100,000 KRW monthly for three years, the county will match the amount (50% provincial funds, 50% county funds). At maturity, they can receive up to 7.2 million KRW in savings and interest.

The recruitment period is until the 8th of next month, with a total of 25 participants eligible for the program.

Eligibility requires applicants to be workers or business owners aged between 18 and 39 with a residence in the county as of the announcement date, who have worked or managed a business for at least three months within the last six months, and whose household income recognized amount is at or below 120% of the median income.

Among qualified applicants, priority will be given to youths with lower household income recognized amounts relative to the median income.

The Newlywed and Multi-Child Family Housing Support Project provides support for housing purchase loan interest payments up to 150,000 KRW per month if the housing purchase price is 600 million KRW or less.

The target beneficiaries are newlyweds and multi-child families (with two or more minor children) who purchased housing in the Jangseong area between last November and the 30th of next month.

Applicants must have a residence in the county as of the application date. A total of 8 beneficiaries will be selected, with recruitment open until October 5th.

Residents wishing to apply should visit the administrative welfare center of their town or township in person to submit their application.
