Shinbokwi Conducts Financial Education for Personal Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy with Busan District Court
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Credit Recovery Committee signed a business agreement with the Busan District Court on the 31st to support credit and financial education for individuals undergoing personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy.
The agreement was established to contribute to the stabilization of financial life by strengthening financial capabilities necessary for the economic recovery of individuals undergoing personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy, and preventing the recurrence of debt problems.
The purpose of the education is to support a reasonable financial consumer's re-leap after personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy declaration. It covers topics such as income and expenditure management, credit and debt management, prevention of financial fraud, and welfare systems for low-income earners.
The court will guide credit education, and the Credit Recovery Committee plans to conduct the education online, available 24 hours a day so that users are not burdened in their livelihood. Approximately 8,000 individuals undergoing personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy in the Busan area are expected to benefit from the education annually.

Since 2017, the Credit Recovery Committee has been conducting credit education in cooperation with six courts, starting with the Seoul Rehabilitation Court. As of the end of July, about 50,000 people have completed the education.
