Recruitment of Tenants for Free Two-Child Apartment 'Chungnam Kkumbichae'
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Next month, the recruitment of tenants for the ‘Chungnam-type More Happy Housing (hereinafter Happy Housing)’ will begin in Asan. Happy Housing is a core project promoted by Chungnam Province to overcome low birth rates, focusing on reducing or fully supporting rent based on childbirth after moving into the housing.
According to the province on the 30th, Happy Housing will be built in five cities and counties: Asan, Cheonan, Dangjin, Seocheon, and Yesan, with a total of 1,015 units. The housing brand name is ‘Chungnam Kkumbichae,’ and the sales are divided into 915 units of construction type and 100 units of purchase type.
Among them, Asan will announce the recruitment notice for the construction type on the 27th of next month, followed by tenant application from October 11 to 25, announcement of successful applicants from January to February next year, and move-in starting in July next year. The sales scale is 600 units, the largest supply volume among the five cities and counties’ Happy Housing.
Asan Happy Housing is located in two blocks of multi-family housing in the Asan Baebang Wolcheon District, Buksoo-ri, Baebang-eup, Asan, built on a 25,582㎡ site (total floor area 72,440㎡) with 2 basement floors and 8 to 25 floors above ground. As of this day, the construction progress rate is recorded at 60%.
The number of households by supply area is ▲36㎡ (18 pyeong) 60 households ▲44㎡ (20 pyeong) 180 households ▲59㎡ (25 pyeong) 360 households.
The deposit for Happy Housing ranges from 30 million to 50 million KRW, similar to the standard rental deposit, and the monthly rent is set at 90,000 KRW, 110,000 KRW, and 150,000 KRW depending on the area.
However, Happy Housing tenants will receive a 50% rent reduction when they have one child after moving in, and a 100% rent reduction when they have two children. The residence period is basically 6 years but can be extended up to 10 years depending on childbirth.
Happy Housing was originally promoted as a project to create a marriage and childbirth-friendly environment by supplying housing with low housing cost burdens, starting with the launch of the 7th local government administration.
Currently, besides Asan, a 28-unit Happy Housing in Sajik-dong, Cheonan, is aiming for completion in July next year, with pile construction and earth retaining installation completed, and a 100-unit housing construction is underway in Chaeundong, Dangjin, aiming for completion in December next year.
Also, Happy Housing in Gunsa (25 units) in Seocheon, Naepo (75 units) in Hongseong, and Jugyo (87 units) in Yesan are expected to be sequentially completed from August to October next year.
Previously, the province completed the supply of 20 purchase-type Happy Housing units, including 10 units in Cheonan, 3 units in Boryeong, and 7 units in Seosan. Among them, a tenant of the purchase-type housing in Dujung-dong, Cheonan, gave birth to a child about 10 days after moving in last December and received the first rent reduction benefit of Happy Housing.
