[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] A video showing a teenage boy hitting the head of a woman in her 60s while demanding cigarette proxy purchases, so-called ‘cigarette shuttle,’ has been released, sparking outrage.
On the 28th, a post titled ‘Seriously Out of Control Teenager’ was uploaded on the online community BobaeDream. The video shared by the poster shows a teenage boy in a school uniform threatening a woman in her 60s wearing a yellow raincoat and squatting down.
The boy, holding an object presumed to be a stick, repeatedly struck the woman’s head while shouting, “Are you going to buy cigarettes or not? Just say it.” The woman in her 60s pleaded with a trembling voice, “Students, stop it,” but the boy maintained a threatening attitude.
When the woman tried to leave, the boy said, “Don’t move your seat.” When she asked, “How old are you? Aren’t you a student?” he replied, “Seventeen, seventeen, seventeen,” and hit her head again with the stick.
