Muju-gun Replaces LED Lights for Vulnerable Groups
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 28th that it will completely replace incandescent or fluorescent lamps with LED lamps for vulnerable households by November.
Muju County plans to carry out the 2021 LED lighting replacement project for vulnerable groups targeting 122 low-income households, with a total project cost of 62 million KRW (including 43 million KRW in national funds).
Prior to this, Muju County confirmed the low-income beneficiaries through a demand survey last month, and plans to purchase materials, select construction companies, and start LED lamp replacement work for each household by this month.
By replacing three LED lamps per household, Muju County expects to improve energy efficiency through electricity bill savings.
Meanwhile, Muju County plans to continuously expand energy welfare projects, including reducing electricity bills for vulnerable groups through LED lighting replacement to improve the lighting environment.
