'The 14th Gimhae International Music Festival' Piano Melodies Delivered Across Gimhae Until December 18
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 26th that it will hold the 14th Gimhae International Music Festival, the first piano music festival in Korea, from the 24th of last month to December 18th at venues including Gimhae Western Culture Center and Gimhae Culture and Arts Center.
This music festival commemorates the 140th anniversary of Liszt's birth, the 100th anniversary of Saint-Sa?ns' death, and the 100th anniversary of Piazzolla's birth under the theme of "Journey," presenting high-quality classical performances and various programs.
Starting with a special lecture by Kim Su-jeong, a ballet accompanist from Mannheim Theatre in Germany, at 10 a.m. on the 24th, a special lecture by world-renowned jazz pianist Cho Yoon-sung will be held online at Inje University Jang Young-sil Hall at 4 p.m. on the 26th.
The fantastic performance "Cho Yoon-sung and Friends 'Electro-Piazzolla'," featuring jazz piano, electronic sounds, drums, violin, and bandoneon, will be held at 4 p.m. on the 29th at the Western Culture Center Hanui Hall.
The highlight of the music festival, the "Journey of Life" performance featuring Liszt and Saint-Sa?ns, will be held on the 29th of next month at the Maru Hall of Gimhae Culture and Arts Center as a large-scale concert encompassing piano, vocal music, choir, and orchestra.
