Due to COVID-19, KB Kookmin Bank is conducting the opening ceremony and major lectures of this new employee training using the metaverse platform Gather Town.
In the metaverse space, key bank buildings such as the Yeouido New Building, Cheonan Training Center, and Gimpo IT Center were constructed to provide new employees with an opportunity to experience the virtual space as if it were real. Additionally, programs that added fun to learning, such as the core value discovery mission and the generational empathy quiz zone, maximized the unique advantages of the virtual space.
The training process in the metaverse space was designed so that each new employee could communicate and participate in learning through an avatar expressing their individuality. In particular, in the ‘Senior Conversation Zone,’ new employees can plan their learning direction and future bank life during the training period through Q&A with seniors from the departments they wish to work in. Furthermore, the ‘Team Small Group Zone’ was utilized to carry out joint projects, taking advantage of Gather Town’s smooth two-way communication features.
